
About Alexa
Alexa earned a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and received the English department’s award for top thesis. She went on to earn an M.A. in English Education from Columbia University and taught both English and Creative Writing at the secondary level.
Passionate about helping students discover their narrative voices, Alexa specializes in helping applicants craft unique and memorable essays. She is a member of NACAC (National Association for College Admissions Counseling), HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association), and PCACAC (Potomac & Chesapeake Association of College Admissions Counseling). Through regular professional development, Alexa stays at the forefront of admissions trends and practices, and helps students make strategic, data-informed decisions throughout the application process.
Outside of her work, Alexa enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She can often be found immersed in a book, taking a long walk, or sampling a new coffee spot. Alexa and her family live in Potomac, Maryland.
