
About Alexa
Alexa Micley is a college counselor with a lifelong love of language and storytelling. She earned her B.A. in English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also volunteered with an on-campus group providing free application support to West Philadelphia teenagers. That early experience sparked a lasting passion for guiding students through the admissions process and helping them realize their higher education goals.
After her time at Penn, Alexa earned an M.A. in English Education from Columbia University and later a graduate certificate in College Admissions Counseling from the University of California, Riverside. Her career includes teaching English and Creative Writing in public and private settings spanning New York City, Newton, MA, and Chicago, IL. Today, she works with students across the country and internationally, helping them navigate the complexities of the college admissions landscape with clarity and confidence.
A member of NACAC, HECA, and PCACAC, Alexa stays connected to the latest admissions trends through ongoing professional development and campus visits, ensuring her guidance is both current and personalized. The proud mom of three children, Alexa lives with her family in Potomac, Maryland.
